Installation Instructions
for the Keep the Heat™ (formerly Neu-Air™) Air-To-Air Heat
Exchanger
What's Included:
-
1 Neu-Air™ Air-To-Air
Heat Exchanger
-
1 Chute, 20 foot long
-
11 3" to 3" ADS
(Advanced Drainage Systems) adapters to attach the head to the chute
tubes
-
75 ring spacers tobe
attached to the internal 3" ADS tubes
-
We have put the 11 3"
adapters inside the housing unit and the ring spacer shipping purposes
What you need to provide:
-
11 pieces of 3" ADS
(Advanced Drainage Systems) corrugated tubing 23' long (these lie
inside the 20' chute that is included)
-
When those 11 3"
pieces of corrugated tubing come out of the end of the chute, we
usually connect thin wall 4" PVC or other material to air
delivery tubes that run across the ceiling and down the sidewalls or
poles. A typical installation uses about 750' of PVC.
-
Support hangers to support
the 20' chute and hangers for the 11 air delivery tubes.
Installation Instructions:
-
Build a flange to mount in
your building. (See Picture).
-
Cut the hole in your
building, insert flange and attach to your building.
-
Place "ring
spacers" every three to four feet on the eleven 3" tubes.
-
Insert head of the unit
into the building. Attach unit to building and flange.
-
Raise 10' section of the
chute to the ceiling level.
-
Attach 3" couplers
from the head of unit to the ADS tubes located in the chute.
-
Attach "non
flanged" end of ductwork to the head of unit.
-
Attach flange to flange of
the chute. The third flange goes on the very end of the chute.
-
Add additional tubing or
PVC as needed. Some of our customers have used PVC or corrugated
tubing and some have used a combination of these.
-
Have electrician wire
switches. We suggest using separate switches for each motor. The
motors are variable speed. Install speed control, if desired.
